Tenerife Diving
If you choose Tenerife as your holiday destination, you will have the perfect opportunity to see first hand the veritable
abundance of marine life. If you like to do a little diving or snorkelling when on your holiday then Tenerife is ideal
with its crystal clear waters of the Atlantic. When diving here, you will witness dramatic rock formations, shipwrecks and
the varied sea life below the waves.
The water temperature averages between 20 ºC and 24 ºC depending on the time
of year, and the waters around the Canaries are usually calm. There are numerous dive centres around the island which offer
different diving experiences and generally tend to cater for everyone from the beginner up to the advanced diver. Some of
the dive centres operate a try-dive system where they visit hotels allowing tourists to experience diving in the swimming
pool before being taken out to sea.
Try a dive with the rays at los Chuchos, visit the Palm Mar cave, dive down to the wreck
at Condesito, swim amongst the coral at los Arcos or swim down to the steps at los Escalones and these are to name but a few.
You really will be spoiled for choice when it comes to diving in Tenerife.
