A little About the Area
The old fishing village of los Cristianos has turned into a busy family orientated holiday resort and is definitely not an
area for night clubbing. That said, the night life is only a short taxi ride away, taxis being the fastest way to get about
and being relatively cheap. Los Cristianos has two lovely beaches located near the harbour and just a few minutes walk from the
harbour. There are also disabled facilities to help people with difficulties in and out of the water,
and also areas for wheelchair access. Los Cristianos also plays host to a port which services the south of Tenerife, so
if you fancy a ferry trip to Gomera which is the closest island to Tenerife, then Los Cristianos is a place to visit.
In Los Cristianos you are sure to find something to suit everybody from those looking for that special get away to those who
are on a budget, and it can be said with confidence, this resort area has everything you could want and more.

Los Cristainos has a vast array of
restaurants
to choose from which will suit all tastes and budgets. There are many types of restaurant which cover such styles as French,
Spanish, International, Chinese, Indian, Tapas and of course fish. Because Los Cristianos was originally a fishing village, you
will find many fish restaurants which server fresh fish usually caught that day. A five minute journey by car or
ten minutes walking, you will find the Safari shopping centre with its top class shops and restaurants.
Pubs And Entertainment
The town has numerous pubs,
bars and
most bars provide some form of entertainment,
and a more diverse choice of entertainment can be found in the sounding areas, which are easily reached by taxi.
Excursions And Activities
A number of excursions are available in Tenerife which can all be booked without leaving the Los Cristianos area and usually they can be booked from your hotel reception. There are also many excursion shops and kiosks where excursions can also be booked.
Beaches
Los Cristianos beaches are amongst some of the finest in Europe and you will find two in the area.. The first near the harbour is called Playa de los Cristianos the second, just a few minutes
walk away is called Playa las Vistas. There are two volleyball courts on Playa de los Cristianos where you can watch local
residents and tourists play volleyball. Both beaches are located near restaurants, shops and amenities. There is also an array of
water sports available at both beaches if you fancy taking a break from soaking up the sun on the beach.
