Golf Del Sur In General
This up and coming area is the ideal destination for people wanting a relaxing holiday, whether it’s playing golf on
the championship course with 27 holes or just sunbathing by the pool. There is a wide range of places to eat, drink and be
entertained in the area, as well as various more strenuous activities just a stones throw away. The recently constructed
marina area has numerous restaurants,
bars and
pubs along the oceans edge. Depending on what type of
holiday you like, you can either enjoy a relaxing holiday or an energetic holiday here. This is not a beach orientated area,
but there is a beach within easy reach. The main resort areas of Los Cristianos, Las Americas and Playa Fanabe
are 15 km away and there is a regular bus service to these resorts. There are a number of car hire companies in the area
and you can often book a car through your hotel.

Restaurants And Entertainment
The main area for eating and entertainment is San
Blas Village where every type of cuisine is represented. Just a short walk along the coast is the fishing village of Los
Abrigos where along the harbour front you will find a gastronomical delight of fish restaurants, many being owned by the
fishermen or their families. So how fresh do you think your fish dinner will be? You can even watch as the boats come in
with their catch of the day. If you are into Tapas, then you must pop along to El Medano where you will find a host of
Spanish bars specialising in this Spanish style of eating.
Excursions And Activities
There is a vast number of excursions available in Tenerife, and they can all be booked from the Golf del Sur Area. You can usually book your excursions with your hotel reception. Alternatively, you will find some shops in San Blas which sell excursions and can book you onto your desired excursion.
Beaches
The closest beach is at el Medano where there is an array of water sports such as wind surfing, kite surfing and scuba diving.
El Medano beach is a long and picturesque beach made up of naturally occurring white sand. The beach is within easy walking distance of the town
where you will find plenty restaurants for when you are feeling peckish. This is a very popular beach, but due to its size, you always find
a spot to sit and soak up the sun. Parking can sometimes be a problem however due to the popularity of beach.
Golf
If you are a keen golfer, then you will find one course on Golf del Sur and another one kilometer away at Amarilla Golf. Golf del Sur is a 27 hole par 72 and is considered to be a testing course. The green fees for this course are 84€ during the winter and 54€ during the summer. Amarilla Golf course is a difficult course where accuracy is the key to a sucessful round. The green fees for this course are 75€ during winter and 54€ during summer. Within forty five minutes drive of Golf del Sur, there are a further four golf courses. These are called Buena Vista Golf, Costa Adeje Golf, Golf las Americas and Abama Golf.
