A little About Tenerife
Location
This beautiful island is the largest of the seven Canary Islands and can be found off the north west coast of Africa.
Tenerife boasts the highest point in Spain known as mount Teide. The mountain is a popular tourist attraction for the millions of
people who visit the island every year.
Weather and Climate
The island itself is often referred to as "the island of eternal spring"
due to its temperate climate and warm favourable weather. The year round average temperature for the island is 23º
C(73ºF). Daytime temperatures in the south rarely exceed 33ºC(90ºF) and night time temperatures rarely
drop below 17ºC(63 ºF). Having such an excellent climate makes it the ideal destination for all year
round holidays.

Activities
Excursions
Visitors to the south of the island have a host of excursions to choose from. So many in fact, they are too
numerous to list here. You will also find a number of theme parks to visit during your stay. You will find excursion kiosks
in all major locations and the majority of hotels can also arrange excursions for you. In addition to excursions, you will also
find many activities to keep you and your family entertained. These include water sports such as Jet Skiing,
para sailing and diving. In addition, the island is a major centre for Golf.
You will be spoiled for choice as there are a number of Golf courses to choose from.
Beaches
Tenerife Beaches are plentiful and kept to a high standard. Numerous beaches have water sport facilities
including jet skiing, parascending, bob diving and some beaches have disabled facilities. The beaches found on the island
have either natural black volcanic sand or imported white sand. If you are into wind surfing, then el Medano beach is an absolute
must.
